IWK Health Centre For more than 20 years, the IWK Health Centre has been the charity of choice for NSLC employees. During that time, we have raised more than $1.58 million dollars!
In 2011, the NSLC raised $165,137.40 - our largest fundraising year to date! These funds were raised through 50/50 draws, barbeques, an online auction, in-store promotions, Donation at Cash and the sale of Edible Occasions, a cookbook containing NSLC employee recipes.
Our dedicated NSLC employees, business partners and customers made this campaign a success. Thank you.
The IWK Health Centre, located in Halifax, provides quality care to women, children, youth and families.
United Way Campaign The United Way is one of Nova Scotia's key contributors to building stronger communities. Each year, the NSLC supports the United Way and assists individuals and families throughout the province by participating in the United Way Campaign and raising much-needed funds for numerous charitable organizations.
In 2011, the NSLC raised close to $60,000 for the provincial United Way Campaign.
Manulife Dragon Boat Festival for Sport Nova Scotia Every July, the NSLC Rum Runners and DC Destroyers participate in the ever-popular Dragon Boat Festival to support amateur sport in Nova Scotia. Fun and friendly, the event is always a joy for participants and spectators alike. More information can be found at www.sportnovascotia.ca.
