Port of Wines Festival
The Port of Wines Festival is a must attend event for anyone who has an interest in learning more about wine and its nuances. Featuring a sumptuous Winemakers’ Dinner and various wine tasting sessions, the festival attracts more than 4,000 people each year. This year, you can discover the tastes of our featured country Australia, along with wines from 11 other countries.

Wine enthusiasts from across Nova Scotia know it’s the place to be!

The Port of Wines Festival will be from September 28 - October 1, 2011.

The Winemakers’ Dinner - A Symphony of Taste - SOLD OUT

The Port of Wines Festival Winemakers’ Dinner is a true celebration of food and wine pairings – the ultimate food and wine experience. A different country is featured every year, which allows the NSLC to highlight wines from that country and pair it with food inspired by the traditions and recipes of that culture. The Winemakers' Dinner celebrates the art of wine-making and allows the NSLC and its sponsor partners to support Symphony Nova Scotia through a live and silent auction.

This year the Winemakers' Dinner will take place on September 29, 2011 at the Cunard Centre and will have wines from our feature country, Australia. This event is already sold out.

An Evening with Wolfgang Blass - Brought to you by the NSLC

On Wednesday, September 28th, join us for an exclusive evening with Australian winemaking icon, Wolfgang Blass.  Experience a variety of premium Wolf Blass wines, including rare back vintages of Wolf Blass Black Label.  It will be an evening of storytelling about Australia, its unique wines and the art of winemaking down under.  This special evening takes place at the Prince George Hotel and includes amazing small plates food pairings created specifically for the wines. Grand Tastings
If you’d like to discover, taste and purchase new wines, you shouldn’t miss one of the four Grand Tastings. The Winemakers’ Dinner is followed by two days of Grand Tastings, where during either an afternoon or evening session, you’ll have the opportunity to sample all the Port of Wines Festival wine selections and purchase them at the on-site store.  This year, the Festival store will be open all day Saturday to all Grand Tastings ticket holders for convenience.

Grand Tastings are happening on September 30 and October 1, 2011 at the Cunard Centre from 1-4PM and 7-10PM.
