For a twist on your next Whisky Sour, Lauren Wainwright adds some mint to mix things up.
Mint Whiskey Sour by Lauren Wainwright
Ingredients:
2oz Rye Whisky
1 whole lemon quartered
5-8 whole mint leaves, muddled
Simple syrup or sugar to taste
Topped with ginger ale
Mint sprig
Sliced lemon
To Create:
1. Add whole mint leaves, lemon and sugar to a tall glass and muddle until sugar is dissolved and juice has been squeezed from lemon.
2. Add ice to fill glass.
3. Add whiskey and top with ginger ale just below the top of glass and stir to mix all ingredients.
4. Garnish with mint sprig and lemon slice.
