 | 2007 ... disgrace
We purchased a bottle of Louis Latour 1997 Pinot Noir at a price of $24.99. Upon opening the bottle and decanting the wine there was a strong aroma of alcohol. The decanted wine was left for 1 hour with an occasional swirl in the decanter. The strong aroma of alcohol...if alcohol can be referd to as an aroma...still remained. The wine was left for an additional 2 hours in the decanter. We tried a glass with and found only the slightest hint of cherries and nothing more. The wine was extremely thin and basicly flavorless with no aromas. Neither glass was finished and the rest was poured out along with the remainder.
