We are where Nova Scotians shop for wine, beer, cider, spirits and cannabis. We’ve been entrusted with this responsibility and we take it very seriously. We are actively monitoring all developments related to COVID-19 and keeping in contact with the government so we can make the best possible decisions, given the evolving uncertainty.
Our front-line and Distribution Centre employees are working long and hard hours, and they share the same concerns as you and your families. They are coming into work every day to serve you, and our ability to keep our stores open depends on their health and well-being. Collectively, we need to look after them and our customers – we are all in this together.
EXTENDED STORE HOURS
Many of our stores are now open Monday to Saturday 10:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m and Sundays 12:00 – 5:00 p.m. To find out the hours at your store of choice, you can search by store.
We are committed to keeping our communities safe, and have taken a number of steps to create a safer environment in our stores. These safety measures may lead to longer than usual wait times.
As this situation evolves, some NSLC stores may need to close without notice, adjust their hours and/or days of operation. We will post any temporary store closures here.
IN-STORE SHOPPING EXPERIENCE
We are committed to keeping our communities safe, and we have taken a number of steps to create a safer environment in our stores. These safety measures may lead to longer than usual wait times. Our cleaning and sanitation protocols have been elevated and we have installed plexi-glass barriers at cash. Following public health guidance, we require employees or customers who have recently travelled outside of Nova Scotia or who are experiencing symptoms to not come into our stores.
We are also asking our customers to please respect the following safety measures:
- Practice physical distancing by staying 6 feet apart from customers and staff.
- Pay with debit or credit cards and avoid using cash whenever possible.
- Bag your own purchase and make your purchase promptly.
- Wear a mask when shopping in our stores.
For cannabis, online shopping continues to be an option at mynslc.com/cannabis. You will need an access code, which can be picked up at any NSLC store by presenting valid ID. Canada Post is experiencing delays and cannabis deliveries are taking longer than the usual 3-5 business days. Thank you for your understanding. Canada Post is not currently validating IDs at the door and deliveries will not be sent to your home at this time. A notice card indicating the post office where customers can pick up their items by showing proof of identity will be left in your mailbox.
In-store Tastings & Port Events
All in-store tastings and Port tasting seminars have been cancelled for the foreseeable future.
NSLC Festivals Update
The impact of COVID-19 has changed how we are hosting events. To ensure we are protecting our employees, customers and winery representatives, we have decided to cancel The NSLC Festival of Wines 2020 which would have taken place in September. We want to continue offering our customers and partners the best and safest possible experience to discover the world of wines, and with this being our 25th anniversary year, it’s an extra-special one that we want to be able to celebrate as Nova Scotians do best – by gathering together.
We are using this schedule change as an opportunity to enhance our Festivals and offer you a better experience moving forward. Therefore, The NSLC Festival of Wines will be shifting to May 5-8, 2021 and The NSLC Festival of Whisky will move to September 22-25, 2021. Both Festivals will be held at this time annually and will take place at the Cunard Centre through to 2023. For more information, please visit myNSLC.com/events where we’ll be sharing all Festival updates as they become available.
We are really looking forward to hosting you in 2021 as long as it is safe to do so. Until then, let’s continue to come together by staying apart. We are all in this together.
