Spending over $75? Shipping is free!

Every online order is handpicked just for you. Once your order is ready, you can pick it up at the NSLC store you selected during checkout. You can expect your order to arrive in three business days. If there are any issues processing your order, a team member will reach out to you directly. When your order is ready for pick up, a team member will give you a call.

Free shipping is provided on all purchases over $75. However, orders under $75 have a $20 shipping fee unless they are picked up in person at The Port on Clyde Street

If the product you are looking for isn’t available at your favourite store, we’ll be happy to “Shop the NSLC” for you. We’ll check our entire inventory and try to find what you are looking for. There are no minimum quantities and we’ll ship it to your favourite NSLC store free of charge. Sale, clearance and limited time offers are excluded from this service. Special Orders

If you’d like to purchase a product that’s not currently available in our stores, our special orders desk can help. Keep in mind that depending on where the product is travelling from, special orders can take time. There will also be minimum purchase requirements and additional charges for shipping and handling.

Frequently Asked Questions 

What is the minimum order quantity of a special order?

The minimum order quantity for a special order can vary. The NSLC and the other Canadian liquor jurisdictions require customers to purchase a minimum of one case, per product of wine and spirits. However, if we are required to source directly from a supplier, they may require a larger minimum order to source the product into the province. Beer product minimums can vary and depend on the product supplier. Not every product is available to order.
 

How long will a special order take?

When you submit a request for a special order, it is placed into a queue and handled in sequence. The demand for special orders is very high and the process can take some time – between sourcing the pricing, finding availability, and shipping – the process can take anywhere from 2-8 months depending on where we source the product.

 

Is there anything I can do to speed up the process?

There are some things you can do to speed up the special order process.

You can research the product and find a producer. If you are successful, you can reach out to them directly and see if they are able to provide you with a local supplier.

If you are successful in finding a supplier, you can have them fill out the appropriate listing application and send it in with your request to the Special Orders Desk. This application provides necessary information for the team and will help expedite the process. Copies of these applications are below.

 You can also check other Canadian liquor jurisdictions to see if they list the product you are looking for. Any product information you can obtain from these jurisdictions will assist the Special Orders Desk in your request.

 

Am I able to ship from anywhere in the world?

We will do everything we can to accommodate your special order request, but cannot guarantee the request due to restrictions on international importing or exporting beyond our control. If the product you are looking for is from a country/province/state that is not on this list, we are unable to bring it into Nova Scotia.
