We believe that measuring our environmental impact is important and part of doing good business. Each year we conduct a comprehensive assessment to report on our full impact of operations including:
- Direct emissions (consumption of energy)
- Indirect emissions (production of electricity purchased by NSLC)
- Other emissions (transportation including trucking and shipping)
Total emissions have been decreasing since 2008; 2019 emissions are down 13% from the currently used base year of 2008. We are currently working on establishing new targets and energy and emissions roadmap to take us into the future.
