Fall is an amazing time of year to make cocktails. The berry fruit-infused patio drinks of summer become spicier drinks made with richer spirits such as whisky and aged rum. Bacardi has brought a little seasonality into the mix with classic fall flavours such as Indian spices, apple cider and pumpkin purée, combined with their new line of age statement rums. If you prefer to sip your spirits, Bacardi recommends enjoying their Gran Reserva Diez (10 Year Old) served neat or over ice, much like any other fine aged spirit.
Bacardi Apple Bite · 1 Serving
1 1/4 oz Bacardi Reserva Ocho (8 YO Amber)
1/2 tsp simple syrup
1 dash orange bitters
1/2 oz freshly-pressed apple juice
Apple fan or slice for garnish
Directions:
1. Add rum, simple syrup and bitters in an ice-filled rocks
2. Float apple juice over top.
3. Garnish with an apple fan or slice.
Friendsgiving Cocktail · 1 Serving
1 oz Bacardi Cuatro (Anejo 4 YO)
1/2 oz non-alcoholic apple cider
2 tsp lemon juice
1/2 tbsp honey
1/2 tbsp pumpkin purée
Cinnamon stick, for garnish
Apple slice, for garnish
Mint, for garnish
Garnish with cinnamon sticks and apple slices
Directions:
1. Mix the Bacardi Cuatro, apple cider, lemon juice, honey and pumpkin puree to avoid the honey clumping up.
2. Add the mixture in an ice-filled rocks glass.
3. Mix all of the ingredients together evenly with a spoon
4. Fill the glass with ice and garnish before serving.
