Grilled Margherita Pizza

The idea of barbequing a pizza is catching on in a big way. This pizza recipe is a wonderful match for your favourite rosé.

Ingredients

1 pizza dough

3-4 tbsp olive oil

1 cup tomato sauce

1½ oz fresh Mozzarella, sliced

1/4 cup grated Parmesan

1 cup loosely packed fresh basil leaves

Directions

1. Follow our Basic Grilled Pizza Dough recipe up to the stage of adding the toppings. Then spread tomato sauce over pizza and top with Mozzarella, Parmesan and basil.

2. Close lid. Cook for 1-2 minutes.

3. Remove the pizza from grill with a pizza peel (paddle).

4. Spread tomato sauce over pizza and top with Mozzarella, Parmesan and basil.

5. Return pizza to grill. Close lid.

6. Cook for 1-2 minutes. Remove the pizza from grill using pizza peel.

7. Let rest and then slice and serve.
