Directions
1. Place bourbon, simple syrup and bitters in an ice-filled mixing glass.
2. Stir until well chilled.
3. Strain into ice-filled, old-fashioned glass.
4. Express orange peel over drink. Add orange peel to glass.
* For a little more sweet spice flavour, try substituting the bourbon with Vanilla Whisky.
** Place 1 cup canned pumpkin puree, 1 cup apple juice, 1 cup brown sugar and ⅓ teaspoon each ground cinnamon, cloves and nutmeg in a pot. Bring to a boil. When sugar has dissolved, remove from heat and let cool. Fine strain.
