Make your own lobster bibs.

Person sitting at a table with a white bib, fork and knife in hand, plate of whole lobster in front of him.
There’s no way around it, eating lobster can get messy. Luckily, we’ve come up with a simple and easy way to keep your guests’ clothes clean while they chow down at your lobster boil. The solution: a DIY lobster bib made from dish towels.

Here’s how to do it.

Determine how many guests will be attending your lobster boil and purchase a small cotton dish towel for each guest’s bib. You can choose dish towels in any colour or pattern that you like

Using a fabric punch, make two holes in each dish towel in the top right and left hand corners.

Cut a long piece of ribbon or thick string and thread through the holes. Secure by tying in a knot on each side. Trim off any extra ribbon/string.

That’s it! Each guest can put on their lobster bib by tying it up at the back of their neck. Bibs can easily be laundered and reused for your next lobster boil.
