The NSLC Encourages Haligonians to not drive impaired with Free Halifax Transit Rides this Friday

HALIFAX, Nova Scotia, June 25, 2025 – The NSLC is proud to sponsor free rides with Halifax Transit on Friday, June 27 beginning at 7 p.m., as they remind all Nova Scotians to make getting home safely part of their plans this summer and always.

Haligonians can count on Halifax Transit to get them home safely for free this Friday night. This includes all Halifax Transit services (bus, Access-A-Bus, and ferry) for all passengers starting from 7 p.m. to the end of service.

As part of the NSLC’s Safe Ride Program and in support of our responsibility campaign – What are you willing to miss?, this initiative reinforces the NSLC’s commitment of encouraging Nova Scotians to not drive impaired and to make responsible choices when consuming alcohol and cannabis.

Date & Time: Friday, June 27, 2025: 7 p.m.  to the end of service.

Location: Halifax Regional Municipality (Anywhere Halifax Transit operates)

Details: Free rides apply to all Halifax Transit services including bus, Access-A-Bus, and ferry transit on Friday, June 27, starting at 7 p.m. until the end of service. Halifax Transit is also asking passengers to not activate or validate tickets during this time.
