Church Brewing
The two owners, Matt and Steve Haysom came up with the concept over six years ago while sitting on the beach at White’s Point, N.S. They decided to look for an old church in Nova Scotia that was no longer being used and turn it into a brewery and restaurant. There is a deep history of the church is a place to congregate and a tradition of giving back to the community - the brothers wanted to do both. They have assembled an amazing team over since the incorporated in 2017.
"We are a brewery, a farm to table restaurant, and a concert venue with a calming mystical presence and feeling. As a company, we are a congregation of people from all different walks of life with our own stories and unique ways of telling them. This is what our community is all about, we are a mixture of deep-rooted tradition and modern hands shaping paint on the canvas of the Annapolis Valley. As a company, we are hard-working community members comprised of artists, makers, crafters, and scientists wishing to make a difference in Nova Scotia. Not only are we out to promote our own provisions but, promote the extremely talented farmers, wineries, distilleries, cideries, and other breweries across Nova Scotia and beyond. We are a destination experience for anyone looking to see what the East Coast has to offer for the best of arts and culture whether it be farm to table food, craft beer, and music."
