Garrison Brewing

Garrison Brewing opened their first brewery in 1997 and has been brewing award-winning beer in Halifax, NS ever since. Over their 25 years in business, Garrison has developed and brewed up hundreds of beers with a goal of having a wide range of interesting, high-quality beers.  

Having launched their first brewery in the city’s deep north-end, Garrison has since expanded to have 3 production facilities – 2 at the Halifax Seaport and one at the Oxford on Quinpool, which was previously attached to the iconic Oxford Theatre!  

Despite their growing popularity and size, Garrison remains committed to the principles that they were founded upon. Focusing on the basics of traditional brewing, quality assurance and innovation, every drop of Garrison is truly hand crafted. From using Maritime-grown base malt to premium, specialty hops sourced from all over the world, Garrison is committed to using only the best to brew great craft beer.  

Their growing team of 40+ employees are passionate about craft beer but also for the city that they brew in. From caring for their local environment through a number of brewery initiatives, to being proud sponsors of community initiatives and organizations such as Halifax Pride Festival and the Halifax Wanderers, Garrison is invested in helping grow the community it serves.
