Directions
1. Combine the cream cheese and chives. Set aside.
2. Prepare the poppers by placing a small spoonful of chive cream cheese in each jalapeño half, then place a mussel in the cream cheese mixture.
3. Place the milk, flour and bread crumbs in separate bowls. Dip poppers in milk, then flour and let dry. Dip in milk, then bread crumbs and let dry.
4. Place oil in a medium skillet or deep fryer and heat until the oil reaches 350ºF.
5. Using a long spoon, gently lower the poppers into the oil.Working in batches, fry until they’re golden brown.
