Mix up some flavour.

WTO Whisky Mix up some flavour

Whisky cocktails have been popular for more than 150 years. Many of the classics, such as the Old Fashioned and Manhattan, originate in North America, but most whisky producing regions have their staple drinks. A whisky’s Taste Profile plays a key role in what ingredients, if any, make the best mix for that particular product.

We’ve provided suggestions based on the flavour profile as a starting point to spark experimentation – you’ll find this information on the shelf cards for each product in NSLC stores. The whisky tasting experience can sometimes be enhanced by adding a mix or transforming the whisky into a cocktail. Some whiskies benefit from the addition of mixes, while others are best enjoyed on their own.

Below, we’ve also asked some of Canada’s best bartenders and whisky experts to provide us cocktail recipes made with classic whisky brands.
